Norton Rose Fulbright promotes four new counsel in Paris

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announces the promotion of Aurélie Pélisson (Capital markets) and Alexandra Somerset (Banking and Finance - Aviation finance) to special counsel and of Arnaud Labouré (Real Estate) and Henri Weil (Trade Finance) to counsel.

In their new roles, Aurélie, Alexandra, Arnaud and Henri will be further involved in the firm's development and matters management. They will play an active role in their teams' various projects, alongside the partners.

Aurélie Pelisson, joined Norton Rose Fulbright's Paris capital markets and financial services team in 2013. Aurélie's practice focuses on financial, banking and securities law, in the banking and investment services, and asset management areas, mainly in France, Morocco and Africa. Aurélie is also particularly active in capital markets transactions (stock market listings, offerings of equity, equity-linked or debt securities issued by companies or investment funds, including venture capital funds and securitisation funds). Aurélie is a graduate of the University of Aix-Marseille III and Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) in banking and finance, as well as business and tax law. Aurélie was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2013.

Alexandra Somerset joined Norton Rose Fulbright's Aviation team in 2012. Alexandra represents financial institutions, borrowers, issuers, aircraft and engine lessors and airlines on structured and asset finance and leasing transactions. She obtained a double first-class bachelor's and master's degree from Oxford University. Alexandra joined Norton Rose Fulbright in London and then spent eight years working in Paris and New York before rejoining the firm's London office in 2019. Alexandra has been ranked as a "Rising star" in the Legal 500 and Euromoney guides in 2016 and was included on Airline Economics' "40 under 40" 2023 list, which recognises the most outstanding individuals in that age group in the aviation finance and leasing industry.

Arnaud Labouré joined the Real Estate team of Norton Rose Fulbright in Paris in 2015. Arnaud advises French and international companies on their real estate investments, as well as on transactional and litigation matters. Arnaud holds an LLM from Bond University in Australia, a Master of Research in Business Law and a professional master's degree in international business law from the University of Aix-Marseille. He is a member of the Paris Bar since 2015.

Henri Weil joined Norton Rose Fulbright's Paris trade and commodity finance team in 2019. Henri advises clients on a wide range of cross-border trade and commodities finance transactions and products in emerging and developed markets, with significant experience in commodities transactions in Africa. Henri holds French and English law degrees from the University Paris X Nanterre and the University of Essex as well as an LLM in International Business law from the American University Washington College of Law. He is a member of the Paris Bar since 2018 and a solicitor in England and Wales. Following these promotions, Norton Rose Fulbright in Paris counts 14 counsel.
