52nd Avenue South to Reopen to Traffic Following Reconstruction Project

Reopening of the roadway will occur in stages

08/19/2024

The North Dakota Department of Transportation and The City of Fargo contractors are announcing that the following stretches of roadway currently under construction will soon reopen to traffic:

Roundabout intersection at 52nd Avenue South & Sheyenne Street:
• The roundabout will be reopened to the public by the close of business Tuesday, August 20. 52nd Avenue South from the roundabout to 63rd Street South will remain closed.

52nd Avenue South between Sheyenne Street & 63rd Street South:
• This stretch of 52nd Avenue South will be reopened to the public by the end of the week, Saturday, August 24. This portion of roadway may be opened sooner should it be ready prior to the end of the week.

Pedestrian access on the south side of 52nd Avenue South between Sheyenne Street and 63rd Street South will remain closed until underground utility work associated with the adjacent contract is finished.

The City of Fargo appreciates the public's cooperation and patience during the construction period.
