The Office of Student Services at Niagara University in Ontario hosted two events this fall to promote student engagement and belonging.

On Oct. 19, six students attended Canada's Wonderland Halloween Haunt, where they enjoyed thrilling rides and fun activities including an escape room, which provided unique bonding moments amid the scares.

On Nov. 4, students and faculty attended a 360 Kids Information Session, a gathering focused on raising awareness and driving action to support youth experiencing homelessness. Participants came together with a shared purpose: to create impactful change, empower young people, and foster a stronger, more inclusive community.

"This event marked a significant step forward in our mission to create a safer, more supportive environment for all youth," said LeChelle Saunders, NUO manager of student services and international student advising. "We're incredibly grateful for the passion and dedication of everyone involved, and we look forward to building on this momentum for an even greater impact in the future."

Saunders noted that NUO is hosting a winter clothing drive in collaboration with 360 kids until Dec. 1. The event is a precursor to an upcoming 360 experience during which participants will engage in experiential learning to raise awareness about youth homelessness.
