Proposed Community Center OCC Highland Lakes Campus

A portion of the Oakland Community College (OCC) Highland Lakes Campus is currently being explored by Waterford Township to assess the feasibility of a community center. This location is being considered because of its existing recreational amenities and greenspace connectivity to Hess-Hathaway Park.

The Township has entered into an agreement with Plante Moran Realpoint to perform a feasibility study that reviews the southern area of the campus property and its buildings. The results of this study are expected to be complete by Spring of 2024. After the completion of this study, the Board of Trustees will weigh the possibilities of pursuing a purchase with the intent of retrofitting several buildings to potentially function as the Township's new community center.

As always, the Township is committed to providing substantial recreation amenities to all who chose Waterford as their premier destination to live, work, and play.
