[Link]
Barnett, Ga. - The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is scheduled to close the westbound right-hand lane and shoulder of Interstate 20 at milepost 154 on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The lane is scheduled to remain closed for seven days.

Crews are performing maintenance on the bridge on I-20 over United States 278/State Route 12. We are replacing edge beams to extend the lifespan of the bridge. The closure is required for crews to remove and replace these beams.

Westbound left-hand lane closures are scheduled to begin at milepost 154 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The left-hand lane is also scheduled to remain closed for seven days.

Advisory: Work schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Drivers are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
