Community Invited to Review Conceptual Designs for Firehouse Mini Park Play Area Renovation

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to help review the conceptual designs for a play area at Firehouse Mini Park. Please join us on Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Byrd Bard Place, 722 18th Ave. to meet the project team and share your feedback on the design options. This event space is adjacent to the Firehouse Mini Park.

This project will replace the existing play equipment, make necessary accessibility improvements, replace the Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) safety surfacing in the play area, renovate the lawn area, add planting enhancements, and update site furnishings.

During this meeting, the design team will share the play equipment design options and collect community feedback! Lunch will be provided, and community participation is encouraged. Together we create the best park for the neighborhood. A short online survey will be released after the meeting to collect additional input.

Firehouse Mini Park is located in the Central District at 712 18th Ave. between E. Cherry and E. Columbia St. For more information visit Firehouse Mini Park Play Area Renovation - Parks | seattle.gov or contact Asmita Poudel at [email protected] or 206-549-0827.
