Caracas - The working session of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN) was successfully concluded. The meeting is the eighteenth held by this group with a view to strengthening and deepening the existing agreements between Russia and Venezuela.
During the meeting, the signatures of the Plan for the Development of Agreements in the areas of Russian-Venezuelan cooperation until 2030, as well as the Cooperation in Science and Technology, aimed at strengthening links between the scientific organizations of both States, were signed.
Next, the Administrative Cooperation Protocol of the Unitary Tariff System of the Eurasian Economic Union was signed.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between PDVSA and the University of Kazan for Training and Consultancy in Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between PDVSA and RT-Project Technologies in the area of industrial oil safety.
They signed a road map for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between both nations in the area of Geology and Subsoil Use.
The Work Plan for the Implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Labor Inspection and Employment Promotion of the Venezuelan and Russian populations was also signed.
The Executive Vice-President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted that the cooperation between both countries "seeks to further strengthen our understanding within the framework of the BRICS and in political, economic and energy matters. This edition has been victorious for our countries", she pointed out.
"This CIAN number XVIII is distinguished for being a shield for our economy in the face of a savage blockade, so that it becomes sovereign, and manages to make us more independent: we have a plan for the period 2024 - 2030", concluded Rodriguez.
For his part, Dmitry Chernyschenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said: "We have held the XVIII CIAN Commission. We understand the need to reduce energy consumption, so we will provide support to create a strong and independent economy for Venezuela".
Likewise, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the Russian partners and congratulated them on the results that consolidate the path of union and cooperation that Russia and Venezuela have planned until 2030.
"The feeling is one of satisfaction for the work done, for the spirit of friendship and brotherhood that has prevailed, of respect, of trust that allows us to learn with a view to a better future for humanity," said the President.
Finally, President Maduro said: "In addition to producing more oil, more gas, sharing cooperation in science and technology and everything we have been working on in economic, scientific and educational matters, the best diplomacy is achieved with daily interconnection and actions such as increasing binational tourism".
