September 17, 2024

LOS ANGELES-The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Neema Sahni to its 'Leader of Influence: Nonprofit & Philanthropy' list, a recognition of the "leading lights of the nonprofit sector."

A partner in Covington's Los Angeles office, Neema serves as co-chair of the firm's Commercial Litigation, Entertainment and Media, and Music Industry Practices, and vice-chair of the Sports Industry Group. Drawing upon her experience at the firm and her prior experience in-house, Neema specializes in handling complex commercial disputes and providing practical solutions that help clients understand and mitigate their legal risks and advance their business objectives. Neema has had an active pro bono docket during her time at Covington; she's litigated asylum cases, landlord-tenant disputes, and high-impact cases supporting voting rights, transgender rights, affirmative action, and sanctuary city policies. The Los Angeles Business Journal noted her role helping "reach a landmark settlement on behalf of tenant advocacy organizations with the California Department of Housing and Community Development regarding the State's administration of its COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program."
