MEDIA ADVISORY: Markup of Cyber Workforce Legislation, Bills to Defund Partisan DHS ‘Experts’ Group, Require Transparency for Special Interest Alien Encounters

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The House Committee on Homeland Security will hold a markup tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM ET. The legislation to be considered will address the cyber workforce shortage, protect our critical infrastructure from cyber intrusion, block funds for any partisan working group at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), require transparent reporting of the number of Special Interest Aliens illegally crossing our borders, and address the growing threat of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which has rapidly increased its presence in the United States under the Biden-Harris administration.
