Early Voting Begins October 15 in the November Elections

The Walker County Board of Elections and Registration has released a timeline of important dates in preparation for the November Elections.

Early voting begins Tuesday, October 15 at the Walker County Courthouse (103 S Duke Street in LaFayette) and will be available through November 1. Hours for early voting will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19 and October 26.

Early voting satellite locations in Rock Spring, Rossville, Chickamauga and Fairyland open Saturday, October 26 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and will also be available October 28 through November 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Elections staff started mailing out Absentee ballots on Monday, October 7, for those who requested one. The last day to request an Absentee ballot is October 25. All Absentee ballots are due back by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 5, at the Elections Office in the Courthouse in LaFayette.

On Election Day, November 5, voting will be available at regular precinct locations from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
