Horizon Bank Announces Promotion of Bruce Piekarski as Market President and Retirement of David Eifler

Michigan City, Indiana - David Quade, Horizon Bank's Regional President for the Michigan Region, is pleased to announce Bruce Piekarski has been named successor to David Eifler as Market President of Southwest Michigan and North Central Region of Indiana effective July 5, 2024 in conjunction with Eifler's planned retirement.

Quade expressed, "In his current position as Commercial Group Manager and in previous roles, Bruce attributes his success to the teams he's collaborated with. He looks forward to leading the Southwest Michigan/North Central Indiana teams continued success and involvement in the community.

Piekarski began his journey with Horizon in 1981 as a Management Trainee. He later transitioned from a Commercial Lender role at a regional bank to a successful tenure at a private manufacturer, gaining extensive experience in various aspects of business.

Returning to Horizon in 2006, he has since dedicated 24 years to the company. Having spent most of his career living and working in the Southwest Michigan and North Central Region of Indiana markets, Bruce possesses a comprehensive understanding of these areas.

Dave Eifler's planned retirement is July 5, 2024. "Dave's 42-year career in Commercial Banking is a testament to his dedication to the business community. Throughout his career, he's been celebrated for both his outstanding performance and strong community leadership," remarked Quade.
