TITUSVILLE, FLA. (October 8, 2024)-In response to the impending threat posed by Hurricane Milton, Parrish Healthcare has officially activated its comprehensive Hurricane Emergency Response Plan. The health system is working in close collaboration with Brevard County Emergency Operations and is taking proactive steps to ensure uninterrupted care and services during the storm.

The following outpatient services will be cancelled and below offices will be closed on both Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10. If conditions allow, and unless communicated otherwise, we will resume normal operations on Friday, October 11.

• The Children's Center
• Jess Parrish Medical Foundation Offices
• Parrish Medical Group Offices (All Locations)
• Parrish Healthcare Center in Port. St. John
• Parrish Healthcare Center in Titus Landing
• Parrish Health and Wellness Center
• Parrish Oncology and Infusion Center

Following are important medical reminders as the community prepares for Hurricane Milton:

• Get a 30-day supply of necessary medications. If you are taking prescription medications and normally purchase them from your local pharmacy, try to have a 30-day supply on hand. Speak with your health insurance representative, pharmacist or your physician about options to acquire extra medications.
• Call your dialysis center for a temporary plan of care. If you are on dialysis, call your dialysis center to make a plan-of-action for your care. Do not miss a treatment prior to bad weather and make sure to follow your doctor-ordered diet very closely. Only your doctor can recommend if it is medically safe for you to miss treatments and can advise you on whether or not you should be admitted to a hospital during a hurricane. Special Needs Shelters do not offer dialysis, and some centers may be closed during a hurricane. When the storm passes, contact your dialysis center for further instructions or go to your hospital for short-term care if your center is closed.
