Tips & Tricks

Here are some helpful things to keep in mind as you prepare to apply:

  • Get your information together. Make sure you have your Unique Entity ID (UEI) from SAM.gov.
  • Be complete and thorough.
  • Focus on your capacity.
  • Target specific goals and metrics from the Digital Access for All Idahoans Plan.
  • Focus on covered populations and build partnerships.
  • Use data relevant to your community needs. The U.S. Census and the DAAI Plan have data on covered populations.
  • Ensure your funding request falls between $10,000 and $150,000 for the monetary subgrants.

Monetary Grants

The Digital Access for All Idahoans Monetary Subgrant provides $10,000 to $150,000 for eligible entities to do digital access work. Suggested subgrant activities include hiring digital navigators to provide local and regional in-person support, creating and hosting digital skills and cybersecurity training opportunities, and providing technical support and low-cost devices.

Connecting Communities

Connecting Communities Digital Access Program provides Windows devices and accessories to eligible entities. Grantees train Idahoans on cybersecurity and digital skills, and Idahoans who complete the training keep the device.

Tech Refresh

The Tech Refresh program provides new computers to public and tribal libraries for in-library use or circulation. Libraries will choose from laptops or desktops to best suit their needs and provide their communities with digital skills and cybersecurity training.

Digital Access for All Idahoans

The Digital Access for All Idahoans (DAAI) Plan supports all Idahoans in thriving online. It provides resources and opportunities to help connect with information and communication technologies. These programs are brought to you by the Idaho Commission for Libraries and were made possible by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration's State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program.
