The EU Delegation to Uganda hosted an insightful conversation on Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference #FIMI, before a live studio audience and produced a four-part series.

FIMI - often labelled as disinformation - is a growing political and security challenge for the European Union.

Deputy Head of Delegation Mr Guillaume Chartrain and co-moderator Ms Fiona Kemigisha steered an open and vibrant conversation with media professionals, academics and journalism students in Uganda to share perspectives on the FIMI situation in Uganda and abroad.

On panel, sat Dr Phillip Kasaija Apuuli, Professor of Politics, Makerere University, Mr Timothy Kalyegira: Researcher, Mr James Onen: CEO RX Radio, and Ms Agather Atuhaire: Journalist, lawyer.
