Nebraska-based irrigation systems manufacturer Reinke Manufacturing announced an investment of $12 million in the modernization and automation of their manufacturing facilities in Deshler . . . Purdue University's monthly newsletter Consumer Food Insights reported that roughly 71% of consumers have little to no familiarity with the term "regenerative agriculture." And consumers familiar with the concept may not be willing to pay for it through higher food prices . . . Bloomberg reported JBS has teamed with GreenGasUSA to turn animal waste into fuel. Under the agreement, GreenGasUSA will collect, process and trade biogas at beef plants in Nebraska and Utah and a chicken plant in South Carolina . . . The USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service reported Nebraska feedlots with capacities of 1,000 or more head contained 2.32 million cattle on September 1, up 2% from last year . . .
