Seton Hall Enhances Cybersecurity Detection and Response

The Department of Information Technology is pleased to announce that Seton Hall University has transitioned to a new and more advanced endpoint security solution, now serving as the University's primary defense against cyber threats. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to maintaining a secure digital environment for all members of the Seton Hall community.

As cyber threats grow more sophisticated, enhanced detection and response capabilities ensure we stay ahead of increasingly complex attacks. The key benefits of this new solution include:

  • Enhanced Detection Capabilities: Superior scanning and monitoring features to identify and mitigate threats before they cause harm.

  • Greater Threat Intelligence: Access to the latest security insights allows for a proactive response to emerging risks.

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Automatic detection and response to suspicious behavior patterns in real-time, making our security smarter and more effective.

"Cyber defenders struggle to keep up with the advanced attacks leveraged by bad actors every day," explains Eric Lopez, Director of IT Security. "Our goal is to partner with vendors who provide the University with the necessary tools to maintain a strong security posture. This new security tool is a critical step in that direction."
