New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Request for Feedback on Disadvantaged Communities Criteria

NYS DEC is seeking feedback on the 2024 annual review of the disadvantaged communities (DAC) criteria.

The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) requires the Climate Justice Working Group (CJWG) to review the DAC criteria annually. NYS DEC is requesting feedback regarding the methodology and indicators used in the criteria as well as recommendations on burdens and vulnerabilities experienced by communities that should be considered in future reviews.

The request for feedback form can be found at https://forms.office.com/g/6e3EUJJvSx. Feedback provided through this form will be collected and made available to the CJWG. NYS DEC requests that feedback be provided by 5:00 p.m. on August 20, 2024. If commenting by e-mail include "Disadvantaged Communities Criteria Review 2024" in the subject line of the e-mail.
