Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7300 Guadalcanal Road

August 19, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7300 Guadalcanal Road about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday (August 17).

The identity of the victim, believed to be between 25 to 35 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Persad and Detectives A. Ledford, E. Camacho and L. Gonzales reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an unresponsive male with gunshot wounds lying in the street. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
