Pitstick Promoted to Judicial District Manager in Wake County

Officials with the NC Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) have promoted Alan Pitstick to the position of Judicial District Manager (JDM) in Judicial District 10, which covers Wake County. Pitstick will oversee 158 probation/parole officers and staff who supervise more than 5,200 individuals in Wake County sentenced to probation, parole or post-release supervision.

"Alan Pitstick has excelled with hard work and dedication to ensure community safety and oversee our officers who supervise offenders," said Todd Ishee, secretary for the NC Department of Adult Correction. "His skills, training and leadership are great assets to the department."

"I am very pleased to promote Alan Pitstick. He's demonstrated great commitment to his job as a manager," said Tracy K. Lee, deputy secretary for Community Supervision. "It's a challenging position, but I know he's up to the task and will enjoy continued success in this new role."

Alan Pitstick began his 18-year community supervision career as a probation officer in Greene County, Ohio. He became a probation officer serving in Wake and Durham counties in 1998, before transferring to Chatham County where he was promoted to chief probation/parole officer (CPPO) in 2013. Most recently, since 2017, Pitstick has been the Assistant Judicial District Manager (AJDM) in Durham County.

He is a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton Ohio, where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. He's also a graduate of the NCDAC Correctional Leadership Development Program.
