Fremantle unveils single global studio headed by Christian Vesper

We recently announced that Christian Vesper will head up all drama and film operations for Fremantle across the US and Europe as CEO Global Drama and Film, continuing to report to Andrea Scrosati, Group COO and CEO Continental Europe.

The FM portfolio of labels and talent reporting into Vesper include Fremantle-owned labels Element Pictures, Miso Film, Passenger and Dancing Ledge; companies with first look deals with Fremantle including Kristen Stewart, Dylan Meyer and Maggie McLean's Nevermind Pictures, Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín's Fabula, Rachel Weisz and Polly Stokes' Astral Projection, Edward Berger's Nine Hours, Johan Renck and Michael Parets' Sinestra, Sarah Condon's Fair Harbour, Richard Yee and Krishnendu Majumdar's Me+You Productions and Patrick Daly's Caledonia Productions. Filmmakers who have ongoing deals with Fremantle include Luca Guadagnino, Paolo Sorrentino, Angelina Jolie and Michael Winterbottom.

Under the new structure, Fremantle's North America scripted business and labels will all report into Vesper. This will include Dante Di Loreto under a newly created producer deal with Fremantle. Di Loreto was instrumental in the growth of our drama slate including most recently the award-winning Showtime series Fellow Travelers.

Several of our scripted projects have screened to acclaim at the prestigious early autumn festivals; films include Pablo Larraín's Maria starring Angelina Jolie (Venice and Telluride), Luca Guadagnino's Queer starring Daniel Craig (Venice and Toronto), Angelina Jolie's Without Blood starring Salma Hayek and Demian Bichir (Toronto); and the series M. Son of the Century (Venice and Toronto), FAITHLESS (Toronto) and The Listeners (Toronto).
