Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs received Malaysian Parliamentarians

On 31 July 2024, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, received a delegation of 7 Malaysian Members of Parliaments led by the Honourable Alice Lau Kion Yieng, Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) of Malaysia, during a courtesy call. The delegation visited Thailand under the "Malaysian Parliamentarians' Visit: Nurturing Thailand - Malaysia Relations through Malaysian Emerging Leaders" Project, organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur during 30 July - 1 August 2024.

On this occasion, the Deputy Permanent Secretary gave an overview of Thailand - Malaysia bilateral relations as well as important direction of Thailand's foreign policy. The delegation also received briefings on "Thailand's Proactive Economic Diplomacy" by Ms. Salinee Phonprapai, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, and on "Thailand - Malaysia Bilateral Relations" by Ms. Chana Sindhvananda, Director of Division I, Department of East Asian Affairs. Both sides also exchanged views on ways to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
