Public Notice: Town of Davie To Conduct a Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project

Sanitary sewer force mains will be replaced near the intersection of University Drive and Griffin Road

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie Utilities Operations Department will be conducting a sanitary sewer improvements project at the existing sewer force mains just north of the intersection of University Drive and Orange Drive (east side of the road), University Drive east to SW 78th Avenue, then north to Griffin Road (see map). The project will begin on September 18, 2024, and is anticipated to conclude in February 2025.

Work will be performed by Murphy Pipeline Contractors, Inc. The contractor will use pipe bursting or drilling methods to replace the sanitary sewer force mains. These methods will limit the disruption of traffic. Please note that there will be no sewer service interruptions while work is performed.

Affected Areas (see map):

• The intersection of University Drive and Orange Drive, going north to the sewer manhole near 4450 S. University Drive.
• Starting near 4779 S. University Drive, going east to SW 78th Avenue then north to the sewer force main on Griffin Road.

What to Expect:

• Outdoor Noise - Construction sounds are expected to be produced by operating equipment necessary for the sewer force pipe replacement.
• Traffic Disruptions - While construction crews are performing work, residents may experience traffic delays. Access to businesses and local residences will remain open.
