County Executive Meyer unveils My-NCC mobile app – brings constituent service to the next level

New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer unveiled New Castle County's latest customer service tool, My-NCC, an interactive mobile app that engages constituents to assist local government by enabling them to submit non-emergency park maintenance service requests.

"We're so excited to bring this app to the public," said County Executive Meyer. "We pay bills on our phone, we get directions on our phone, and now our constituents can be some added eyes and ears for their community and regional parks."

My-NCC was developed by Information Systems and Public Works to empower residents to submit park maintenance requests with a convenient tool that's easy to use and helps County government complete maintenance requests faster. My-NCC is a branded public mobile app that's available for Android devices by selecting Google Play My-NCCand iOS devices by selecting App Store My-NCCto download for free. Alternatively, residents can submit service requests from a desktop computer by going to Park Maintenance Requestson the County website.

My-NCC allows residents to submit photos with their mobile phone, and a geo-location tag is automatically attached and sent to park maintenance staff for faster turnaround. The app only works in County operated parks, and it automatically detects duplicate requests and prompts residents to follow the original request. The platform also provides transparency to manage park service requests from creation to resolution - engaging residents with positive touchpoints throughout the process.

In addition to submitting park maintenance service requests, residents can create their own "watch areas" to receive notices about progress for all the requests tied to their community park - not just the ones they submitted. My-NCC allows constituents to communicate directly with park maintenance staff from beginning to end. And once submitted, we're on it!
