Press Release on Assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh

I strongly condemn and curse the treacherous assassination carried out in Tehran against Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh.

This assassination is a despicable act, aimed at undermining the Palestinian cause, the glorious resistance of Gaza and the righteous struggle of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, and at demoralizing and intimidating the Palestinians.

The objective of the assassination of my brother Ismail Haniyeh is the same as the objective of the heinous attacks on Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi and many other political figures from Gaza, but Zionist barbarism will once again fail to achieve its goals.

With the stronger stance of the Islamic world and the alliance of humanity, the terror wreaked by Israel in our geography, notably the oppression and genocide in Gaza, will certainly come to an end and our region and the world will inshallah find peace.

With this aim, we as Türkiye will continue to explore all avenues, to force all doors and to support our Palestinian brothers and sisters with all our means and all our strength. We will continue to work for the establishment of a free, sovereign and independent State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders with East al-Quds as its capital.

I wish Allah's mercy on my brother Ismail Haniyeh, who was martyred as a result of a heinous attack; I wish patience to his family, extend my condolences to our brothers and sisters in Gaza and Palestine, and to the Islamic world. May Allah bless him with Jannah.
