If you drive on Cedar River Road, you need to be aware of an upcoming turn lane project and closure at the Hwy 30 intersection that may impact your trip.

The intersection of Hwy 30 and Cedar River Road, just north of the entrance to the Linn County District 2 Maintenance Shop, will be closed to all traffic starting September 9. The median on Hwy 30 allowing west bound motorists to turn onto Cedar River Road will also be closed. A detour will be posted for this project. The project is expected to last six weeks.

The project includes adding a right turn lane from Highway 30 onto Cedar River Road to increase safety and allow motorists space to slow down and exit the highway at a safe speed.

Motorists are reminded to comply with all traffic signs around construction projects. Do not drive around the barricades in place to protect the public and road crews.
