Exploring Cooperation between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

As part of AAAID's ongoing efforts to coordinate with the concerned international organizations and entities to explore further opportunities for cooperation and coordination, H.E. Dr. Obeid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, The Chairman of the Board of AAAID, received Mr. Ahmad Mukhtar, Head of Strategy and Policy at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), at AAAID's Main Office in Dubai on July 22, 2024.

H.E. the Chairman extended a warm welcome to Mr. Mukhtar and provided an overview of the AAAID's strategy, programs, activities, vision, mission, objectives, and investments across the Arab countries. He highlighted the sectors within which AAAID operates and contributes to support and enhance food security. In return, Mr. Mukhtar expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.E. the Chairman for the opportunity to meet him, praising the efforts, capabilities of the Arab Authority and its projects that contribute to bridging the food gap. He looked forward to exploring potential future cooperation between FAO and AAAID.
At the end of the meeting, H.E. The Chairman of the Board of AAAID presented Mr. Ahmad Mukhtar with AAAID's commemorative shield in appreciation of FAO role in the development of the agricultural sector.
