NBN equipment installation underway in Marysville

Published on 18 December 2024

Council is happy to share that a major boost is underway in Marysville as part of the Connecting Victoria Program.

Ventia, engaged by NBN Co, is leading the installation of nbn equipment to provide eligible local homes and businesses with faster, more reliable internet access through the advanced Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) technology.

A significant milestone has been reached with the installation of 21 kilometres of new optic fibre throughout the region.

The project has already seen 234 successful installations completed, with an additional 159 installations scheduled to follow.

The FTTP technology will allow eligible Marysville's residents and businesses to access high-speed broadband services, facilitating everything from remote work to streaming, e-commerce, and education.

Ventia's telecommunications team has been hard at work ensuring that the installation process runs smoothly.

The installation of both external and internal nbn equipment to homes and businesses in eligible areas is progressing efficiently, with the aim of completing the full rollout by the end of February 2025.

Marysville residents and business owners are already looking forward to the transformative benefits that high-speed broadband will bring, creating new opportunities and strengthening the region's digital infrastructure.

As the Connecting Victoria Program continues to expand across the state, Marysville stands as a shining example of how investment in regional connectivity can pave the way for a brighter, more connected future.

Stay tuned for further updates as more premises in Marysville are upgraded to the nbn™ FTTP network!
