Tiffin University and Tiffin Parks and Recreation Collaborate to Enhance Campus Amenities with New Pickleball Courts

In collaboration with the Tiffin Parks and Recreation Department, Tiffin University has added state-of-the-art pickleball courts to its campus facilities. The new pickleball courts are located at the PM Gillmor Tennis Courts, 155 Miami St., Tiffin Ohio.

Pickleball, a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis, has gained significant traction across the United States for its accessibility and social aspects. The courts will be open to the public, inviting local residents to join in the active lifestyle opportunities available at TU.

The addition of a sixth tennis court, lined for two pickleball courts, was made possible by contributions from the Tiffin Community Foundation, a donation from Matt and Theresa Dysard and a fundraising effort led by the University's men's and women's tennis teams. Additional support was secured from a United States Tennis Association (USTA) grant which facilitated the resurfacing of all tennis courts, ensuring top-notch facilities on campus.

"We are excited to support this collaboration between Tiffin University and the Tiffin Parks and Recreation Department to provide community access to outdoor pickleball courts in Tiffin," said Jodie Reinbolt, Executive Director of the Tiffin Community Foundation. "We believe this type of healthy recreation enhances the quality of life for people of all ages."

"I would like to thank everyone from TU, the Tiffin Community Foundation and all of our generous donors for their help in making this project a reality," said Phil Conley, Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Tiffin University. "A huge thank you as well to Matt and Theresa Dysard for their contribution to our team to help enhance our facilities. Their generous donation motivated our tennis program to go out and match the donation with our community and alumni," he continued. "Our campus is one of a kind, and every single year our leadership team has helped enhance our facilities, athletic and academic programs through great partnerships."
