Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration Concert Event Continues with Second Night in Tuscany

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17 - Tonight, iconic Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli continued his three-day concert event, Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, commemorating his 30th anniversary in music. Global superstars Ed Sheeran, Russell Crowe, Will Smith and Johnny Depp were among those who descended upon the Tuscan Hills for the celebration, as well as renowned performers, Lang Lang, Laura Pausini, Nadine Sierra, Zucherro, Placido Domingo, Jose Carerras, and Franco Vassallo.Ed Sheeranjoined Bocelli on-stage for an acoustic performance of "Perfect Symphony," which is also featured on Bocelli's forthcoming Duets album. Immediately following, Johnny Depp joined Bocelli for "En Aranjuez con tu amor" as a tribute to the late Jeff Beck, where he played guitar. Will Smithperformed a spoken word rendition of "You'll Never Alone," which was followed by a stirring performance of "You Raise Me Up" by Bocelli's daughter, Virginia. Russell Crowe then came to the stage for a performance of Leonard Cohen's "Take This Waltz," with Bocelli on piano. Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Lang Lang were among the other classical superstars who performed with Bocelli.

The evening concluded as Bocelli, joined on stage by Placido Domingo and Nadine Sierra, invited the audience to sing along to "Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Patirò),"followed by an encore performance of "Nessun Dorma."

The Italian countryside will remain a celebration of music, memories, and milestones for one additional show on Friday, July 19th. The event kicked off on Monday and featured performances by Jon Batiste, Sofia Carson, Matteo Bocelli, Virginia Bocelli, Christian Nodal, and Elisa. Friday's show will feature performances by Shania Twain, David Foster, Brian May and many more.

Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebrationwill be filmed and produced by Mercury Studios, Maverick, Almud, Impact Productions, and CitySound & Events. The film will be directed by Grammy-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Sam Wrench, who recently directed Taylor Swift - The Eras Tour, the highest grossing concert film of all time, and will be released globally in theaters this fall by Fathom.

Bocelli's 30th anniversary celebration is set to continue with the release of his new album, Duets, out October 25th via Decca Records / Sugar Music. The 32-track collection includes many of Bocelli's most beloved collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, and Luciano Pavarotti, and more, as well as new superstar duets recorded especially for the album with Shania Twain, Chris Stapleton, Gwen Stefani, Marc Anthony, Karol G, Matteo Bocelli, Hans Zimmer, and more.
