Property Damage Self-Reporting

The Augusta Fire/EMA Department, in collaboration with the Augusta-Richmond County Tax Assessor's Office, is actively conducting city-wide damage assessments following Hurricane Helene. Teams from both departments will be visiting various areas to assess property damage. It is important to note that these assessments are not tied to any financial assistance programs but are a necessary step required by both GEMA and FEMA to document the extent of damage.

To assist in this effort, a self-reporting website has been created for residents and business owners to report damage to their homes or commercial properties. You can upload relevant information and photos of structural damage. Please refrain from reporting fallen debris, such as trees, utility poles, or wires, on this platform.

The self-reporting website can be accessed through the City of Augusta's main page at www.augustaga.gov. We encourage everyone affected to take advantage of this tool to help streamline the assessment process.
