Kingsway Elementary School Shelter Closed

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 27, 2024) - The shelter at Kingsway Elementary School in Port Charlotte has closed. The shelter at Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center, located at 23400 Harold Ave., in Port Charlotte remains open and is accepting residents and their pets.

If you choose to go to the shelter, bring supplies for each family member and your pets. Essential items include sleeping gear, personal hygiene products, food for 72+ hours, medications, and pet care items. For a full supply list, visit www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov/disasterguide.
