Transform 285/400: Continuous Weekend Closures for Bridge Asphalt Overlay Work Begins Oct. 4

WHAT: Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will implement a continuous weekend closure and detour for the I-285 eastbound ramp to Glenridge Drive, SR 400 northbound, and SR 400 southbound beginning Friday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 7, at 5 a.m.

An additional daytime closure will be implemented of one, left lane on I-285 eastbound connecting lanes from Roswell Road to SR 400 on Friday, Oct. 4 from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

These closure periods for bridge asphalt overlay are part of the punch list for the Transform 285/400 project now fully open to traffic.

WHEN/WHERE:

Daytime Closures:

Friday, October 4, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • One, left lane on I-285 eastbound connecting lanes from Roswell Road to SR 400

Continuous Weekend Closures and Detours:

Friday, October 4, at 9 p.m. through Monday, October 7, at 5 a.m.

  • Motorists traveling on I-285 eastbound to SR 400 northbound or southbound (incl. Glenridge Connector) should use Exit 29 Ashford Dunwoody Road and I-285 westbound to access Exit 27 SR 400 northbound or southbound (or Glenridge Connector).

ADVISORY:Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
