Lane Closure on North Rome Avenue between West Erna Drive and West Johnston Ave

Beginning at 9am today, the southbound lane of North Rome Avenue will close between West Erna Drive and West Johnston Avenue while the Tampa Water Department conducts scheduled maintenance on the water distribution system. Barricades and flaggers will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm each day and then close again the following morning at 9am to continue the work. All lanes will also reopen from Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 for the holiday weekend. Please use caution when driving in the area.

The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Wednesday, September 4. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
