America Recycles Day

Gather your unwanted confidential documents, textiles and electronics, and bring them to this year's America Recycles day event!

The event, which celebrates and promotes waste reduction and recycling, takes place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024 at the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) parking lot.

This year's event activities include:

  • Onsite document shredding by a licensed, bonded paper destruction company; there is a two-box limit per person.
  • Collection of clothing and textiles; items may be in any condition, and include towels, bed sheets and linen. Shoes, purses, belts and other accessories will not be accepted.
  • Drop off of electronic waste that includes computers, gaming units, e-readers, televisions and household electronics.
  • Self-serve mulch giveaway; bring your gloves, shovels and containers. There is a limit of two containers or two large trash bags per household, while supplies last.

Additionally, the City's Environmental Services team will be on site to provide information and answer questions related to recycling, conservation, and waste diversion, and hand out free used oil collection kits and other giveaways.

AQMD is located at 21865 Copley Drive. For more information, contact Environmental Services at 909-839-7015 or [email protected].
