Vauxhall has revealed UK pricing and specification for the New Corsa. Britain's best-selling supermini will be available in a choice of three trim levels - Design, GS and Ultimate - with prices starting from £19,625. Orders are open now, with first deliveries in Q4 2023.

The New Corsa will feature Vauxhall's bold and pure Vizor front end across the range as well as a number of additional styling and technology improvements, while fully electric models are available with Vauxhall's next-generation battery technology, improving both range and performance.

The Vauxhall Corsa finished 2022 as the UK's top-selling supermini and second best-selling car overall, and topped the overall sales charts in 2021. It is also the best-selling car in its segment so far this year, while the Corsa Electric is the best-selling Small Electric Car (Electric B-Hatch), according to the latest SMMT figures. The New Corsa will look to continue the success story for Vauxhall as the brand moves towards becoming an electric-only manufacturer from 2028.

Vauxhall Vizor

The New Corsa becomes the final model in Vauxhall's passenger car range to adopt the distinctive Vizor front end - a single smooth panel that sits between the LED headlights, housing the advanced Vauxhall driver aids and safety technologies, with the Griffin logo at the centre.

Other styling updates include 17-inch black alloy wheels, as well as black roof, black badging and black Corsa lettering on GS and Ultimate models.

All Corsa models are fitted with LED headlights as standard. Ultimate trim features Vauxhall's IntelliLux LED® Pixel Matrix light technology, which automatically cuts out oncoming road users from the beam, ensuring drivers have a clear view of the road even in dark and poor conditions without dazzling others.

Upgraded interior

Inside, the New Corsa's upgraded infotainment system includes a new 10-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, which can be accessed wirelessly on Electric models featuring the upgraded 156PS powertrain, as well as petrol GS and Ultimate variants. The Corsa Electric 156PS also features wireless phone charging, Vauxhall Connect and Connected Navigation, with the latter also available on petrol Ultimate models.

A 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster is fitted as standard on petrol Design models. This is upgraded to a 7-inch display on all other trims. On petrol GS, Ultimate and Electric 156PS models, the display also benefits from new graphics.

In front of the instrument display, the New Corsa features an updated steering wheel design, while new front sports seats are available on GS and above. These are finished in Alcantara® on Ultimate trim, which also adds heating and massage functions.

New Corsa Electric

New for Corsa Electric is Vauxhall's next-generation 51kWh battery. This, combined with an upgraded electric motor now producing 115kW (156PS), results in the New Corsa Electric delivering more performance whilst achieving 246 miles (WLTP) between charges.

From 3rd August, buyers will be able to choose between two powertrain options on the Corsa Electric, with the existing 100kW (136PS) powertrain remaining available, which achieves up to 222 miles between charges (WLTP). For the first time, this powertrain option will be available in Design trim as well as GS.

All New Corsa Electric models come as standard with an 11kW on-board charger, allowing for a 0-100% charge to be completed in 5hrs and 15 minutes. The same full charge using a 7kW home wallbox is estimated to take 7hrs and 30 minutes. Supporting 100kW rapid charging, a typical 10%-80% charge will take just 30 minutes.

The New Corsa will also be available from launch with a choice of efficient 1.2-litre petrol engines. Customers can choose from a naturally-aspirated 75PS engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, a turbocharged 100PS engine with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox, or a 130PS unit available as an eight-speed automatic.

A new 48-volt hybrid powertrain delivering improved efficiency without the need to plug in will also be available later this year.

Specification

As part of Vauxhall's simplified range, petrol variants of the New Corsa are available in three trim levels - Design, GS and Ultimate. The Corsa Electric is available from launch with the next-generation 156PS powertrain in GS and Ultimate trims, while from 3rd August the existing 136PS powertrain will be offered in Design and GS.

All Corsa models are equipped with LED headlights as standard. For added convenience, Design trim also benefits from automatic headlights and wipers and rear parking sensors. Infotainment is provided by a 7-inch touchscreen on the Electric Design 136PS, while all other models receive the new 10-inch touchscreen. Safety is enhanced via a suite of driver assist technologies, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane keep assist and speed sign recognition.

GS trim adds a rear-view parking camera, which features a new high-resolution, panoramic display on Electric 156PS models. The alloy wheels are upgraded from 16-inches to 17-inches, while inside there is a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Electric GS 156PS models also feature keyless entry and start.

Finally, Ultimate trim sees the headlights upgraded with Vauxhall's IntelliLux LED® Pixel Matrix light technology. Additional driver assist features include Blind Sport Alert (also available on Electric GS 156PS models) and Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Positioning Assist. Comfort is enhanced with heated, massaging seats finished in Alcantara® and a heated steering wheel. Keyless entry and start is available on both petrol and Electric variants.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS

Vauxhall Motors started making vehicles in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain's automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all. Vauxhall's two manufacturing plants in Ellesmere Port and Luton produced 120,000 cars and vans in 2019, and its sales accounted for 7.5 per cent of the UK market.

Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification - as of 2021 it is one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. By 2024, all Vauxhall cars and vans will be available with an electrified version. By 2028, Vauxhall has committed to only selling fully electric vehicles. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
