Mahoning County: Construction Update
Week of July 8, 2024
Mahoning County (Wednesday, July 3, 2024) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Mahoning County next week. All scheduled work is weather permitting.
Interstate 680 lighting improvements
Midlothian Blvd. over I-680 has occasional lane restrictions.Estimated completion, October 2024.
Interstate 680 resurfacing
I-680 northbound and southbound between South Ave. and US 224 has various lane restrictions for resurfacing. Estimated completion, October 2024.
NEW IMPACT- Beginning Monday, July 8, I-680 between Meridian Rd. and South Ave. will have nightly lane restrictions between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for pavement repairs.
US Route 224 culvert replacement, Berlin Township
U.S. 224 just east of State Route 534 is NOW OPEN.
State Route 165 resurfacing, Beaver & Springfield Townships
SR 165 between S. Range Rd. and the Columbiana County line will have various lane restrictions. Estimated completion, late July 2024.
NEW IMPACT- Beginning Monday, July 8, SR 165 just east of SR 11 will be closedthrough late July for a culvert replacement. The detour will be SR 46 to SR 14 to SR 164.
State Route 170 pavement reconstruction, Village of New Middletown & Springfield Township
SR 170 southbound between Struthers Rd. and Middletown Rd. is closedthrough mid-October for roadway reconstruction. The detour is SR 617 to SR 165 to SR 626 to SR 7 to US 224 to SR 170. Estimated completion, October 2025.
