Lincoln University Students Bring the World to Jefferson City Children with Mini-Epcot Project

Students from Lincoln University's EDU 260 course, Education and Cultural Diversity, brought the world to local children through their innovative Mini-Epcot project. Under the guidance of Dr. Ayanna Shivers and Cynthia Scroggins, these future educators researched a diverse array of countries and crafted interactive presentations for children in grades 1-3 from the Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson City.

The project featured a rich tapestry of cultural experiences, with participants learning words, dances and games from 15 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Mexico and the Greater Antilles Islands. The unique initiative not only educated the young attendees about global diversity but also included personal insights from students who are from the highlighted regions.
