TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane Reduction, Traffic Delays on Route TT (Newman Rd.) in Joplin Sept. 16-Oct. 31

Where: Jasper County Route TT (Newman Road) at Loop 49 (Range Line Road) in Joplin

When: 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Friday, September 16-October 31

Details: Contractor crews widening right turn lanes, installing new street lighting and signals

Traffic Impacts:

• Route TT (Newman Road) reduced to one at Loop 49 (Range Line Road)
• At least one lane of Route TT open at all times
• All Route TT lanes open during nighttime hours and weekends
• Drivers are urged to use caution as crews and equipment will be working close to traffic
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zones
• No signed detours
• Drivers should find alternate routes around work zones
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

This work is part of a project to make intersection improvements and install traffic signals and street lighting on Route 43 (Main Street) and Loop 43 (Range Line Road) in Joplin.
