The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino signs a memorandum of understanding with the Portuguese insurance and pension funds supervisory authority (autoridade de supervisão de seguros e fundos de pensões - asf)

On July 2, 2024, the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões (ASF), the Portuguese Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority.

The Memorandum establishes a framework for bilateral cooperation between the two supervisory authorities in carrying out their respective functions and duties and provides for a solid basis for mutual assistance in the supervision and regulation of insurance activities. The agreement was signed by Mrs. Margarida Corrêa de Aguiar, President of ASF, and Mr. Andrea Vivoli, General Manager of CBSM.

'The cooperation and exchange of information established by the agreement will support the integration process of our insurance sector into the European framework and, at the same time, allow for a greater diversification of the insurance products available to citizens and residents.' General Manager Vivoli stressed.
