NORTH PORT, FL - City Manager Jerome Fletcher's "North Port United" Tour, an ongoing series of community engagement and discussion sessions, has added two more stops this fall. The events, which are open to the public, are as follows:

  • 6 p.m. Sept. 17 at City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
  • 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Jockey Club of North Port, 3050 Pan American Blvd.

"North Port United" aims to bring together City leadership and North Port residents to discuss the future of our growing city. Sessions have been held in both private communities and public settings throughout North Port and have touched on topics including the City's budget, zoning, the widening of Price Boulevard, the Nov. 5 general election and more.

"The City is committed to transparency and accessibility, and these events are a big part of that commitment," Fletcher said. "We encourage everyone to come out, interact with our professional staff, hear the latest City information directly from the source and have your questions answered."

North Port Forward, a nonprofit organization encouraging dialogue and civic involvement, has officially partnered with the City to organize and host the tour series.

The events will include a brief presentation and an opportunity for Q&A. Online registration is required. Each person must register individually, as seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
