Aledade Welcomes Gui Woolston, PhD, as Chief Analytics Officer

Woolston brings data science, healthcare and equity capabilities to leadership team

Bethesda, MD - Aledade, the nation's largest network of independent primary care, today announced the appointment of Gui Woolston, PhD, as its first Chief Analytics Officer. Woolston, a seasoned health economist, will lead Aledade's endeavors to yield insights that best help primary care practices through the utilization and governance of data and analytics.

Woolston most recently served as the director of Connecticut Medicaid, which provides health coverage to more than 1 million of the state's residents. Prior to that, he ran the analytics team for Caremark, the pharmacy benefits manager under CVS that provides prescription drug coverage to 100 million Americans. Woolston also has served as director of data science at the health analytics startup Nuna Health. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and a doctorate in economics from Stanford University.

Woolston will lead Aledade's business intelligence, analytics and actuarial teams. He also will oversee Aledade's governance and management frameworks for data, and the company's tools for reporting and visualization.
