SGMC Health Adjusts Outpatient, Non-emergent, and Clinic Schedules; Postpones Elective Surgeries

With the impending Tropical Storm Debby, SGMC Health, its campuses, and affiliates are adjusting hours of operation for Monday, August 5.

SGMC Health's Emergency Departments at the Main, Smith Northview, Lanier, and Berrien Campuses remain open to care for patients. Inpatient care will continue at these facilities and the Langdale Hospice House and SGMC Health Villa; however, clinic visits, elective procedures and surgeries for Monday, Aug. 5 will be rescheduled.

SGMC Health Urgent Care, clinics, and outpatient services will be closed Monday or until further notice.

SGMC Health is communicating with the area Emergency Management Agencies and will open its own Incident Command Center to monitor and direct activities related to the impending storm. SGMC Health reminds residents that hospitals are not shelter sites. Individuals seeking shelter are directed to refer to their county emergency management agency shelter locations.
