Clay Electric is standing by to respond to outages as Hurricane Helene, now a Category 2 storm with 100 mph winds, makes its way closer to Florida. A reminder: Our offices will close to the public at noon and remain closed through Friday.

The storm continues on a north-northeast path and is expected to speed up significantly. It's expected to reach major hurricane strength before landfall along Florida's Big Bend, which could occur late tonight, but conditions are expected to worsen across the service area throughout the evening.

Clay Electric lineworkers, as well as approximately 200 additional mutual aid workers, will roll out to restore power as long as conditions allow. Their goal is to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

If you haven't downloaded the MyClayElectric app, now is the time to do so. It's the easiest and fastest way to report an outage, plus, it will let you know when we're working to restore your power. Many times, we're already on it.
