At the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Mongolia to pay a State Visit from October 28-29, 2024.
Upon his arrival, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was greeted by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Gabit Koishibayev, and other officials at the Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport.
As part of the State Visit, President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold official talks.
The two sides will discuss and assess the achievements of the past 30 years of relations and exchange views on elevating bilateral relations, enriching cooperation with economic content, and deepening and developing cooperation between the two countries on international and regional fora. The two sides are planning to make press statements after holding official talks.
During the State Visit, relevant officials from Mongolia and Kazakhstan will sign intergovernmental and inter-organizational documents on transport, logistics, agriculture, veterinary medicine, information technology, culture, and tourism to strengthen the legal foundation of relations between the two countries.
This State Visit is taking place 16 years after the State Visit by the Head of State of Kazakhstan to Mongolia in 2008.
Mongolia and the Republic of Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations on January 22, 1992.
