PROJECT LOCATION: 500-1000 BLOCK OF GILES ST. (from Bridge over Six Mile Creek to E State St/Route 79)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ongoing road rehabilitation of Giles St. shall begin the ASPHALT PAVEMENT PHASE from Bridge over Six Mile Creek to E State St./Route 79 on Monday, July 8,2024, tentatively concluding on Tuesday, July 9,2024.

LOCAL IMPACTS: On Monday, July 8th, the city's Contractor, Suit-Kote Corporation, will begin the asphalt paving of Giles St. During the PAVING OPERATION construction is very constricted and only emergency responders will be allowed. Roadway and driveways will be COMPLETELY INACCESSIBLE until the asphalt course has cooled. Pedestrian traffic via sidewalks will be maintained, but everyone should be cautious and alert for construction activities in the area.

Delays are expected, please avoid this area if possible.

RECOMMENDED DETOURS IN PLACE: None will be posted.

ESTIMATED TIMEFRAME: 2 Days.

SCHEDULED COMPLETION DATE: Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
