On December 2, 2024, members of the Special Victims and Major Crimes Units arrested Masiel Ortiz, age 39, of 1090 Eddy Dowling Highway, North Smithfield, Rhode Island, for the following: 1.) First-Degree Child Abuse; and 2) Second-Degree Child Endangerment. Ms. Ortiz was processed at State Police Headquarters and turned over to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.

Mr. Ortiz was processed at State Police Headquarters and turned over to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
