Missing Person

The Maui Police Department requests the public's assistance with any information on the whereabouts of Mimmie "Mele" Hoffman (81) of Kahului.

Ms. Hoffman was reported missing on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, by a family member after she failed to return home. She was last seen leaving her residence in Kahului around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Ms. Hoffman is known to frequent the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center and Kahului Library.

Ms. Hoffman does not have a cellular phone, and her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Ms. Hoffman is described as Japanese, 4-foot-1, weighs about 89 pounds, and has grey hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white colored shirt; no other clothing or footwear description was provided.
