Allegheny County - September 16, 2024 - Today, Senator Wayne Fontana announced $6,688,873 in funding for agencies and organizations that serve the people of the 42nd District from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). This funding provides critical funding for victim services, law enforcement, and other public safety initiatives.
"This is important investment into the safety and security of our neighborhoods," said. Sen. Fontana. "These grants will support law enforcement, protect crime victims, and help to lessen recidivism. I am always pleased to see Federal, state, county, and local non-profits working together to improve the lives of our community."

This year Sen. Fontana has secured over $9.6 million in PCCD funding for local governments, schools, and nonprofits that serve the 42nd District.
The PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency awarded $80 million this week to improve crime reporting, help law enforcement upgrade equipment, support victims of crime and victim service providers, and support county jail-based medication-assisted treatment for individuals with substance use disorder.
