City of St. Louis Department of Personnel Honored at Urban League's Inaugural Employers Appreciation Luncheon

The City of St. Louis Department of Personnel has been recognized by the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis for its outstanding efforts in hiring and recruitment, providing employment to thousands of people in our community.

The Urban League held its inaugural Employers Appreciation Luncheon at the Marriott Hotel on August 2, 2024. During the event, Michael P. McMillan, President and CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, presented Dr. Anthony Byrd Sr. from the City's Department of Personnel with an award to acknowledge the department's significant contributions to boosting the workforce of the City.

The department was acknowledged for the successful outcome of its community job fairs and its effective partnership with the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. With over 5,000 employees, the City is one of the largest employers in the region, and its departments play a central role in the lives of residents every day.

"The Urban League's dedicated initiatives, events, and people bring instrumental change and development to our community.
