Constellation Named a Best Workplace For Parents By Great Place to Work, Fortune Magazine

Recognition based on Constellation's slate of family caregiving benefits and direct feedback from employees

BALTIMORE (Dec. 12, 2024) - Constellation (Nasdaq: CEG), the nation's largest producer of reliable, emissions-free energy, has been named a 2024 Best Workplace for Parents by Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine. The honor, which recognizes how companies are supporting caregivers, is based upon company benefit offerings as well as direct employee feedback. Overall, nearly half a million working parents nationwide were surveyed for the list.

"Making a positive impact both at work and at home can be incredibly challenging and rewarding, and that's why it's so important we foster a culture at Constellation that supports and values caregivers of all kinds, including parents," said Susie Kutansky, executive vice president and Chief Human Resources Officer. "It is validating that this recognition was earned not just from the comprehensive family-related benefits we offer, but also through authentic feedback from our people about the emphasis we place on flexibility, support, trust and appreciation."

Several Constellation employees weighed in on their experiences as working parents at the company:

Illinois-based Lauren Coffey held roles at Constellation's Nine Mile Point and Braidwood Clean Energy Centers before moving into a leadership position in nuclear engineering. Following her first pregnancy, she was granted the flexibility to return from maternity leave to support a refueling outage and then encouraged to use all of her remaining time off so she could spend as much time as possible with her newborn.

"I'm grateful to be part of a culture and a team that has offered me the assistance and flexibility to care for my family, grow as a mom and advance my career," Coffey said.

Illinois-based Tracy Peyton, manager of Human Resources at Dresden Clean Energy Center, and her husband adopted their daughter a little more than a year ago.

Dyrell Ashley, manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Programs, was taken aback when his colleagues threw him a surprise baby shower even though he'd only been with the company for a few months. After his child was born, he relished the bonding leave afforded to him to be present as a new father.

"I couldn't imagine going on the journey of becoming a new father with any other company than Constellation. My team gave me the flexibility I needed to make all of the doctor's appointments with my spouse so I didn't miss any of those key moments. I will always be grateful to Constellation," Ashley said.

"Constellation supported our adoption journey on so many levels. From providing adoption reimbursement to bonding leave time, I was able to use the company's benefits to welcome her home. I am so incredibly grateful to have such a large support system here," Peyton said.

A father of one-year-old twins, Maryland-based External Communications Manager Dave Snyder and his wife were facing a stretch in which their kids' day care would be closed for nearly two weeks. He's grateful for Constellation's back-up care benefit, which offered him 10 days of in-home care for each child.

"I cannot overstate how incredible it was to have a trained care provider come to our house and take care of our kids. My wife and I were able to stay on top of our work all while knowing the two people most important in our lives were in good hands," Snyder said.
